What to order

Point at the Chinese. Staff will understand it even where the menu has no English at all.

  • Litsea-pepper fragrant chicken (木姜子椒香鸡)
  • Clay pot fish (砂锅鱼)
  • Stir-fried cured ham with local vegetables (火腿炒时蔬)
  • Fried rushan milk fan (乳扇)

What it actually tastes like

Mujiangzi is powerfully aromatic and tastes somewhere between lemongrass, ginger and turpentine — people either love it immediately or cannot get past it. Chicken is chopped through the bone. Rushan is dairy.

Allergens in this kitchen

dairyfishsoygluten/wheatsesame

This is the kitchen, not one dish. Woks, fryers, blanching water and utensils are shared in almost every Chinese restaurant, so for a serious allergy treat the whole premises as the unit rather than ordering around it.
