Yangtze: Victoria Isabella's Shangri-La suites
It is the newest hull on the river, so the fittings, insulation and balcony glazing are current rather than refurbished, and Victoria's ships are run for an English-speaking market with American-style service and commentary.

Victoria Isabella was inaugurated on 28 September 2025, is 17,000 gross tons, carries up to 570 guests and is a hybrid-electric sister to Victoria Sabrina. The accommodation is 236 Superior Staterooms of about 26 sqm on decks 2 to 5, 22 Executive Suites of about 36 sqm on deck 6, and two Shangri-La Suites of 51 sqm on deck 3. It is also the first passenger ship on the Yangtze with an escalator.
The access, explained
Nothing exclusive ashore, and be careful with the suite hierarchy here. At 51 sqm the top Shangri-La Suite is smaller than Century Victory's 85 sqm Presidential Suite, and the published description gives it the same amenities as the 36 sqm Executive Suites with more space. Twenty-two Executive Suites on one deck is a volume product, not a private tier. Victoria has also repositioned older hulls under new names in the past, so confirm you are being sold Isabella or Sabrina and not a renamed older ship.
Planning the details
How to arrange it. Through Victoria Cruise Lines or an agency; the two Shangri-La Suites are the only ones of their kind on board. Chongqing-Yichang, three or four nights depending on direction. No permit.
When to go. April to June and September to November.
Ask for written confirmation of the date, duration, guide language, transport, admission and cancellation terms. Any restricted access must be confirmed by the venue.

Good to know
If top-end space is what you want, compare the square metres across operators before the brand: the largest suites on this river are on Century's newer hulls, while Victoria's advantage is the age of the ship and the English-language operation. Century Voyage, launched September 2024, reportedly fits butler service as standard across all cabins, which if true undercuts the whole suite argument, and we could only find that claim on a reseller's page.
