Before you decide
Altitude affects sleep, appetite and walking pace, and attractive room photographs do not change that. The retreat is outside Dukezong and evening exploration requires a car. Service works best as part of Songtsam's guided ecosystem; independent room-only guests should clarify transfers and English-language help in advance.
