A taste of Nanjing

Nanjing Impressions

南京大牌档

A theatrical recreation of an old Jiangnan market hall - lanterns, wooden galleries, staff in period dress, live storytelling - serving the full Nanjing snack repertoire in one place: Meiling congee, roast duck, duck-fat buns, lion's head, osmanthus taro. It is a tourist restaurant and locals say so, but the cooking is sound and it is by far the easiest way to try eight Nanjing dishes in one sitting.
