A taste of Qingdao

Taidong Pedestrian Street seafood row

台东步行街海鲜一条街

A strip of open-fronted seafood restaurants and stalls behind the Taidong shopping street, doing spicy crab, garlic-vermicelli scallops, grilled squid and clams at plastic tables, with bagged beer and night-market stalls around it. Loud, cheap and the most straightforward introduction to Qingdao night eating if you do not want to shop at a market first.
