The character of the place

Why stay here

251 guestrooms in the top floors of the 108-storey, 530-metre CTF Finance Centre in Zhujiang New Town — the tallest building in southern China. Reception is on the 95th floor. Seven restaurants and bars, including Too High, a cocktail bar on the 107th floor. It holds One Michelin Key.

The highest hotel rooms in the Pearl River Delta and a bar above the 100th floor, which there are only a handful of anywhere. Rosewood's standard entry room here reads as a suite: walk-in wardrobe, freestanding bath, floor-to-ceiling glass on two aspects in the corner categories.

Too High, on the 107th floor, is one of very few places on earth where you can drink above the hundredth storey. Book it even if you stay elsewhere.

Make the stay your own

Rooms worth asking for

A Deluxe King above the 100th floor. A 2025 reviewer on the 101st found it already suite-like; the suite upgrade buys a second room rather than a better one.

Note the exact room or suite name before opening the booking provider, along with any connecting-room, step-free access or celebration requests.

At the table

Dining & the evening ahead

Seven restaurants and bars including Too High on the 107th floor. Holds One Michelin Key in the Michelin hotel selection.

Request restaurant availability alongside your stay. Tasting menus, private dining and dietary arrangements should be confirmed separately.

Time for yourself

Spa, pool & wellbeing

Asaya, Rosewood's wellness brand, operates here, though I found no professional assessment establishing it as a reason to book on its own.

Ask which facilities are included with your room, whether treatments require advance reservations, and whether any seasonal closures affect your stay.

Before you decide

Published descriptions cannot agree whether it is the top 39 floors, floors 70-108, or the top 16 — which is a warning about how much of the coverage is recycled press material. Guest reviews, strong overall at 9.4, include recurring reports of drainage odours and flies in rooms, which is a plumbing problem specific to very tall buildings and worth asking about. It sits in the same CBD block as the Four Seasons and faces the same low-cloud problem: for much of spring you are inside the weather, not above it.

Location. Zhujiang New Town, Tianhe — the CBD, directly across from the Four Seasons in the IFC tower.
