Why stay here
A 501-room Haitang Bay resort spread across 50 acres, with every room oriented toward the sea, 12 private-pool villas, four outdoor pools and a large man-made saltwater 'Private Ocean' inside the grounds. The programme mixes adult spaces such as Sky Bar and its rooftop pool with a substantial children's Playland and age-specific pools.
It handles the difficult mixed brief better than most Sanya resorts: strong contemporary design and adult dining, while still giving families enough purpose-built space that children do not take over every pool. The private saltwater lagoon provides calm water when the open sea is rough.

Rooms worth asking for
A high-floor Ocean Front room for the view without paying villa rates, or a one-bedroom villa for a 150-square-metre plan, private pool and outdoor pavilion. Families should compare the dedicated two-bedroom Playland suites before assuming two ordinary rooms work better.

Dining & the evening ahead
The resort has several distinct venues: Market, Xianhai by the Sea, The Jade Egret, Beach Barbacoa, an adults-only Beach Club and Sky Bar. This is the best dining range within a single Sanya resort, though holiday reservations are essential and prices remain hotel-level.

Before you decide
With 501 rooms, extensive event space and major family facilities, this is a large active resort rather than a quiet hideaway. The horseshoe plan means some 'ocean view' rooms look across a great deal of building and lagoon before the sea. Music and crowds around the Beach Club and Sky Bar will not suit every stay, while the family zones become extremely busy during school holidays.
Location. 100 North Haitang Road, Haitang Bay, near the duty-free complex and the main resort strip; roughly 45–60 minutes from Phoenix airport outside peak traffic.
