Rosewood Sanya tower and resort grounds at Haitang Bay
Why stay here
A 244-room high-rise resort at Haitang Bay, with every standard room starting at 68 square metres and facing the South China Sea. The 13th-floor infinity pool, terraces and restaurants sit above the palms rather than spreading through a low-rise garden, while selected 103-square-metre rooms add private plunge pools.
Choose it for the strongest high-rise sea view in Haitang Bay and a more adult residential feel than the neighbouring mega-resorts. The compact vertical plan makes the restaurants, spa and main pool easier to reach than at sprawling villa compounds, and the base room is unusually large.

Rooms worth asking for
An Ocean View Pool Room at 103 square metres for a private heated plunge pool and terrace. If booking a standard room, pay for the higher panoramic categories only after confirming the floor and unobstructed orientation.
Note the exact room or suite name before opening the booking provider, along with any connecting-room, step-free access or celebration requests.
Dining & the evening ahead
Five restaurants and lounges serve Chinese, international and resort dining. The elevated spaces have better sea views than most competitors, while the surrounding bay also gives access to other hotels and local seafood by taxi.
Request restaurant availability alongside your stay. Tasting menus, private dining and dietary arrangements should be confirmed separately.
Spa, pool & wellbeing
Sense, A Rosewood Spa, plus a health club. The principal pool is on the 13th floor; private plunge pools are available in specific room and suite categories and should not be assumed from a generic ocean-view booking.
Ask which facilities are included with your room, whether treatments require advance reservations, and whether any seasonal closures affect your stay.

Before you decide
It is a tower resort rather than a retreat in tropical gardens, and the beach on exposed Haitang Bay is often better for walking than swimming. Public areas can fill with events and families at Chinese holiday periods. The private pools are plunge pools, not swimming pools, and privacy varies by floor and sightline; confirm the exact category rather than relying on the word 'pool'.
Location. Haitang Bay, 6 Haitang North Road, around 38 km from Phoenix airport and close to the CDF duty-free complex and other large resorts.
Prices are indicative, not live availability. Confirm the total including taxes, meals, transfers and cancellation terms on the provider’s checkout before committing.
