The character of the place

Why stay here

About 380 rooms and suites on a landscaped site with gardens and water around 500 metres from Tang Paradise, in Qujiang. Five restaurants plus bar and lounge, indoor pool, children's pool, sauna and steam. The Red Level floors operate as a hotel-within-a-hotel with their own lounge.

The only Spanish-run luxury hotel in the city and the only one whose staff are regularly singled out for handling non-Chinese-speaking guests well. Gardens and a lake on site, which separates it from the towers. Tang Paradise is a one-minute walk.

Make the stay your own

Rooms worth asking for

A Red Level room or suite with a garden view — the lounge access is the difference between this hotel and a well-run four-star.

Note the exact room or suite name before opening the booking provider, along with any connecting-room, step-free access or celebration requests.

At the table

Dining & the evening ahead

Five restaurants plus a bar and lounge. No Michelin or Black Pearl listing confirmed.

Request restaurant availability alongside your stay. Tasting menus, private dining and dietary arrangements should be confirmed separately.

Time for yourself

Spa, pool & wellbeing

A spa and pool complex that guests mention favourably, though I found no account establishing it as a reason to book on its own.

Ask which facilities are included with your room, whether treatments require advance reservations, and whether any seasonal closures affect your stay.

Before you decide

The rooms are visibly past their first decade; one recent guest put it as no longer completely new. All the available assessment comes from booking-platform reviews rather than professional ones, and I could not find an official statement of current operating status, only reviews dated into 2026. Qujiang again means nothing historic within walking distance except the reconstructed Tang Paradise, which is a theme park rather than a site.

Location. Qujiang New District, adjoining Tang Paradise; about 10 minutes to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, 30 to the city wall.

Prices are indicative, not live availability. Confirm the total including taxes, meals, transfers and cancellation terms on the provider’s checkout before committing.
