A fifteen-yuan-a-head Wenshan-style shop near Green Lake Park doing chicken-broth rice noodles and steam-pot chicken cooked with sanqi, the Yunnan medicinal root that Wenshan prefecture is built on. The best value on Ctrip's whole Kunming list and a useful lunch while walking Cuihu.

What it actually tastes like

Sanqi is bitter and earthy — the broth tastes faintly medicinal and that is what people come for. Otherwise mild and clean.
