Looking up in 20-storey hotel atrium at 400 stainless-steel butterflies on column
Why stay here
A 313-room hotel over 27 floors in Chaoyang, near the Liangmaqiao embassy area. Guest corridors look down into a 20-storey atrium hung with about 400 stainless-steel butterflies, and most bathrooms have a tub set against the window.
The most predictable operation in Beijing. If you travel on Four Seasons and want no surprises, a one-star Cantonese restaurant downstairs, and a concierge who will actually fix a Great Wall permit problem at 7am, this is the choice. Guest ratings are among the highest in the city.

Rooms worth asking for
A Premier Room or above on a high floor facing out rather than into the atrium. Atrium-facing rooms are quieter but you look at the building.
Note the exact room or suite name before opening the booking provider, along with any connecting-room, step-free access or celebration requests.
Dining & the evening ahead
Cai Yi Xuan (one Michelin star, Cantonese), Mio for Italian, and Executive Club dining. Cai Yi Xuan's guest reviews are more mixed than its star suggests, averaging around 4.4 of 5.
Request restaurant availability alongside your stay. Tasting menus, private dining and dietary arrangements should be confirmed separately.
Spa, pool & wellbeing
A good gym and pool, a conventional hotel spa. Not a differentiator.
Ask which facilities are included with your room, whether treatments require advance reservations, and whether any seasonal closures affect your stay.

The interiors are visibly of their opening period, early 2010s styling that reviewers describe as dated even while praising the upkeep; renovations have been discussed but not delivered. It has no Michelin Keys, which puts it below Bulgari, Rosewood and both Mandarin Orientals on the design and character axis. The location is a business and embassy district with nothing to walk to, and at 313 rooms it is the least intimate of Beijing's top tier. You are buying reliability, not atmosphere.
Location. Chaoyang, near Liangmaqiao and the embassy area; close to the Lufthansa Center. Quick to the airport, 30-40 minutes to the Forbidden City.
