Niccolo Chengdu hotel entrance at Chengdu IFS
Why stay here
238 rooms occupying the upper floors of Tower 3 at Chengdu IFS, the luxury mall on Hongxing Road. Rooms and suites sit on floors 16 to 25, with standard kings at about 45 square metres. The hotel has no street-level presence to speak of; you arrive through the mall podium.
The best in-city views in Chengdu, and the only hotel where some rooms look directly down into the courtyards of Daci Temple, which the IFS development built around rather than over. Rooms are notably well equipped as standard — deep soaking tub, Nespresso, 500-thread-count linen, a yoga mat in every room.
The Grand Temple View rooms look down onto the roofs and courtyards of a working Tang-founded temple from the 20th floor of a shopping mall. It is the single most Chengdu image available from a hotel window.
Rooms worth asking for
Grand Temple View Premium King. The premium is for the aspect, and it is the only reason to choose this hotel over the Ritz-Carlton; a city-view room here is unremarkable.
Note the exact room or suite name before opening the booking provider, along with any connecting-room, step-free access or celebration requests.
Dining & the evening ahead
Yue Hin for Cantonese, Sichuan and Huaiyang cooking; Niccolo Kitchen for all-day international; a Tea Lounge with its own tea sommelier.
Request restaurant availability alongside your stay. Tasting menus, private dining and dietary arrangements should be confirmed separately.

This is a hotel inside a mall, and it behaves like one — no garden, no arrival sequence, and the ground floor belongs to retail. There is a sauna and indoor pool but no destination spa, which puts it behind the Waldorf Astoria and the Ritz-Carlton on wellness. The 2015 interiors have aged better than most but are no longer current, and the Michelin listing shows no verified guest stays or guest score, so there is less recent independent assessment than the brand's profile suggests.
Location. Jinjiang District, Chengdu IFS on Hongxing Road, directly above Chunxi Road metro and the Taikoo Li block.
