The hotel opened exactly 110 years after the original St. Regis in New York, and the butler floor service is attached to every room category, not just suites.

Why stay here
279 rooms and suites at 88 Taisheng Road South, part of the Huazhi Plaza mixed-use development in the central business district by Tidu Street. Accommodation runs from 65 to 325 square metres, the largest entry-level room footprint of any hotel in the city. It opened in July 2014, interiors mixing 1920s Art Deco with Sichuan motifs.
Space. A 65-square-metre standard room is not something the Ritz-Carlton or the Waldorf can match, and the St. Regis butler service here is the genuine brand programme rather than a badge. It is a short walk to Tianfu Square and Chunxi Road.

Rooms worth asking for
Not established. The jump from a 65-square-metre deluxe to the suite categories is large, and I found no reviewer consensus on where the value sits.
Note the exact room or suite name before opening the booking provider, along with any connecting-room, step-free access or celebration requests.
Dining & the evening ahead
The St. Regis Bar, a Chinese restaurant and all-day dining. No Michelin or Black Pearl listing confirmed.
Request restaurant availability alongside your stay. Tasting menus, private dining and dietary arrangements should be confirmed separately.

Aggregated guest reviews run around 9.0 but with recurring service complaints and, in a handful of reports, bed bugs — which for a property at this price is disqualifying until you check recent reviews yourself. The Michelin hotel listing showed no verified stays. The building is a 2014 fit-out that has not been publicly reported as renovated, and the location is office district: central, but nothing to walk to after seven.
Location. Qingyang District CBD, by Tidu Street in Huazhi Plaza; walking distance to Tianfu Square and Chunxi Road.
