289 rooms in a 52-storey tower at 1199 Tianfu Avenue North, part of the Chengdu Yintai Centre complex in the High-tech Zone. Art Deco interiors, the brand's Waldorf clock at check-in, and a rooftop bar on the 52nd floor. Every room has a private butler service window.
The highest-placed luxury rooms in Chengdu and the only one of the city's five-stars whose spa uses Valmont and June Jacobs product lines. Six food and beverage outlets, which is more than the Ritz-Carlton. The Yintai Centre and in99 mall are at the base and Tianfu IFC is across the street.

The location is the real problem: the High-tech Zone is a business district south of the centre, roughly a 25-minute drive from Taikoo Li and the old city, so for a sightseeing trip this is the wrong address. Guest scores sit around 8.8, below the Ritz-Carlton. Much of the detail circulating about this hotel online comes from affiliate pages with invented inspector notes, so treat specific amenity claims with suspicion. I could not confirm the opening year.
